Victoria is now offering individual sessions and group classes in the Child’Space Method.  Break up your daily routine with new ideas to use outside of the class, meet new parents and babies, and address questions or concerns you may have about your baby’s development.

For babies 5 weeks to 5 months. In this joyful, gentle class, parents learn to support their baby’s development through touch and movement.

Functional Integration Individual Lessons

handsIn a Functional Integration (F.I.) lesson, the teacher’s delicate and precise touch guides the student through gentle, safe movements. These movements provide new information directly to the neuro-muscular system, enabling it to change one’s organization in gravity and enhance efficiency, coordination, and ease of movement. F.I. is very effective for people with pain, scoliosis, cerebral palsy, neurological challenges and injury prevention and recovery. These lessons are given one-on-one, hands on, fully clothed on a low padded table. Please call the studio to schedule a lesson or a series of lessons designed just for you and your specific situation. These lessons are both cost and time effective for the long lasting benefits you will experience.

Awareness Through Movement

The classes help you to discover many more movement options that are not only comfortable, but feel unusually wonderful and freeing. You will learn new ways of moving while increasing ease, flexibility and range of movement. Victoria leads Awareness Through Movement lessons primarily to groups. Lessons last 50 minutes, and are usually organized around a particular function. You will learn movements you can then do on your own at home. Even 5 minutes a day will make a big difference in your comfort and ease of movement. For all ages and all abilities.

About “Bones” Retreats

These “Bones” retreats, with many smaller movement processes, address one of the chronic problems of today’s sedentary lifestyle: the deterioration of bone tissue.  Tension and stress also puts the bones at risk. There is a huge increase in injuries and suffering due to the seemingly irreversible degeneration in bone tissue. However, bone is a living organ, constantly renewing its cells.  The rate of this cell renewal is determined by demand; the more functional pressure the bones experience, the more they are stimulated to renew themselves. This program includes many processes designed to improve skeletal alignment during weight-bearing movement.

In these interesting classes, you become keenly aware as you develop new levels of perception. In both the ATM classes and in the individual lessons you will clearly feel where movement is easy and where it is less than easy. The classes help you to discover many more movement options that are not only comfortable, but feel unusually wonderful and freeing. You will learn new ways of moving while increasing ease, flexibility and range of movement. Victoria leads Awareness Through Movement lessons primarily to groups. Lessons last from thirty to sixty minutes, and are usually organized around a particular function.
